Chinese City Announces Agreement With Electronic Giant Huawei, May Boost Blockchain Adoption

Coming as a positive development in the cryptosphere, the government of the Nanshan District of Shenzhen, China has declared a collaboration with the multinational electronics giant Huawei to enhance the espousal of blockchain, among other technologies, in the area.

Huawei and the Nanshan government will work in collaboration to develop the Kunpeng industrial demonstration region, as per an April 13 report from local newspaper The Global Times. The collaboration is aimed at fast-tracking the application of Blockchain, AI, and Big Data.

Both parties approve that the agreement should turn the city into a model precinct for the chip business and other emerging technologies.

The declaration of the solidification of Shenzhen as a pro-blockchain city in the nation, noted as the commercial linking point between Hong Kong and China, comprehends the significance it has for the national government in the advancement of such technology.

At the time of reporting, Huawei has not released any announcement formalizing the latest development regarding collaboration with the Nanshan government of Shenzhen, nor has it issued extra comments on the subject.
