Elon Musk divulged his crypto holding of 0.25 BTC, in a Twitter discussion with J.K. Rowling, the popular author of the Harry Potter series of novels. Earlier this month, he also claimed to sell approximately every physical possession he holds.
Replying to a request from Rowling for Twitter to elucidate Bitcoin, Musk mentioned,
“massive currency issuance by govt central banks is making Bitcoin Internet money look solid by comparison. I still only own 0.25 Bitcoin btw.”
Replying to the above comment, Tyler Winklevoss asked,
“Then how are you going to pay for things on Mars?”
The popular founder of Tesla, Elon Musk claims to be holding 0.25 Bitcoin. Nevertheless, not all were persuaded by the amount of BTC that Musk asserted to own. Responding to the claim, self-described virtual currency investor Alistair Milne said,
“This is called OpSec, something everyone who owns Bitcoin should learn… Pity I lost all mine…”
Musk’s statement of possessing 0.25 Bitcoin indicates that he chose to hold his supposedly trivial BTC stash in spite of selling nearly all physical possessions, according to a series of inexplicable tweets posted at the beginning of May.
