The open-source e-commerce platform, WooCommerce recently declared a partnership with Square payment solutions. The collaboration aims to broaden services for merchants who are selling CBD products online. Although small, it is still a positive step towards making it uncomplicated to sell CBD products online. However, there are still several limitations and snags that online merchants need to beat.
From a legal point of view, CBD falls in a gray area in some regions in the United States. Therefore, local laws may still prohibit dealing in CBD and other substances like alcohol. On that account, merchants ought to be acquainted with important legal issues that they need to appraise.
There are several other obstacles in selling CBD products online. These include finding a suitable web host, payment processor, and a bank that does not have internal policies prohibiting CBD products. The latest partnership of WooCommerce with Square may aid United States based merchants at least address the payment processor requirements.
