Binance US Appoints Former FBI Agent As Its Head Of Investigations

The American subsidiary of the world’s biggest digital asset exchange, Binance US appointed former FBI agent BJ Kang as its 1st Head of Investigations.

In this role, the former FBI agent will aim to ensure maximum user safeguarding by partnering closely with regulators and law enforcement agents.

As per a recent announcement, Kang will use his extensive experience to identify illegal criminal activities related to virtual assets and reinforce the platform’s security.

The chief executive officer of Binance US, Brian Shroder elucidated the new Head of Investigations as “one of the most respected and accomplished professionals in federal law enforcement.” Notably, he has played a major role in the scrutiny of a couple of the highest profile cyber crime cases in the last several years.

The executive mentioned,

“He will be instrumental in strengthening our partnerships with law enforcement agencies and ensuring Binance.US continues to be a leader in developing a safe, secure digital asset marketplace for all Americans.”

Notably, Binance US operates separately from its parent organization and serves the United States market. During its 3-year existence, it has emerged as one of the top choices for American investors. The organization closed a two hundred million dollar fundraiser in the month of April, which raised its valuation to four and a half billion dollars.
