EOS Blockchain Might Be In Trouble, According To New Research

Outlier Ventures has recently published a new research delineating the scenario of blockchain development in the crypto domain. As per the report, things aren’t appearing to be good for the EOS project.

The latest research from Outlier Ventures specifies EOS has seen an immense migration of developers from the blockchain network.

The EOS platform witnessed a decline of over eighty five percent compared to a year ago, as per the aforementioned research report from Outlier Ventures. Because of this, code updates followed on Github were down by an alarming ninety four percent for the struggling protocol over the same time period. Furthermore, EOS dapp activity has plunged by over seventy percent as compared to the last year.

The report further highlights that Ethereum leads the decentralized computing sector with around eighty percent of all smart contracts and decentralized apps built on it. EOS ranks second with only nine percent of smart contracts and dapps built on it.

However, the EOS blockchain still upholds the 2nd largest user base after Ethereum. It has an estimated fifteen thousand daily active users. Nevertheless, with so many developers leaving the EOS blockchain, it’s uncertain how EOS will be able to contend with more active protocols.
