Kylian Mbappé, the popular French soccer player, recently filed a complaint for the unlawful use of his name on a digital currency scam network, which is being investigated by local authorities.
According to the newspaper L’Équipe, Mbappé is being imitated to use his name in advertising campaigns for the suspected con that encompasses a virtual currency procurement scheme.
The aforementioned advertising posts mentioned untrue statements by Mbappé, where he purportedly mentioned that the formula presented by the network was astounding and that individuals could become a millionaire in 2 or 3 months.
The cryptocurrency fraud article began circulating with the name “The latest Kylian Mbappé investment that put pressure on experts and scared big banks.”
The head of the Central Office for the Suppression of Financial Crime with the French Judicial Police, Anne-Sophie Coulbois mentioned the following to local newspapers concerning the plan of action of this sort of scams:
“These pages are used to impersonate future victims, save your contact details, then an alleged vendor calls them to explain the procedure for investing, but there is never a product that is invested in.”
