On July 1st, Ripple will release an additional 1 billion XRP, equivalent to approximately $470 million at the current exchange rate.
Since 2017, Ripple has consistently issued 1 billion tokens each month through its custodial system.
According to XRPScan data, the company has been managing these tokens using the “Ripple(24)” and “Ripple(25)” wallets since May of this year. These addresses currently hold a total of 1 billion XRP set to be released in July, as well as monthly releases until January 2025.
In early June, Ripple already issued the same quantity of tokens through the same wallets. At that time, the company retained 200 million XRP for sale and re-secured the remaining XRP until September 2027.
Additionally, Ripple has added another 200 million XRP in this sale, bringing the total to 400 million XRP.
