Securitize, Wormhole, and Apollo Bring $1.3B Credit Fund to Solana, Ushering in a New Era for Tokenized RWAs

The landscape of real-world asset (RWA) tokenization is rapidly evolving, with Securitize announcing a groundbreaking partnership with Apollo Global Management and Wormhole to bring the $1.3 billion Apollo Diversified Credit Securitize Fund (ACRED) on-chain. This collaboration marks a significant milestone for institutional-grade finance on the blockchain, making private market investments more accessible and efficient. Notably, this initiative also serves as Securitize’s first major deployment on the Solana network, positioning the blockchain as a key player in the next wave of tokenized finance.

The ACRED fund, managed by Apollo, is designed to provide investors with diversified exposure to various credit sectors. By leveraging Securitize’s expertise in asset tokenization, the fund will now be accessible across multiple blockchains, with Solana playing a central role in its expansion. This integration is expected to enhance liquidity, improve capital efficiency, and create new opportunities for institutional and retail investors alike. Apollo Partner Earl Hunt emphasized that this initiative aims to bridge the gap between traditional finance and blockchain technology, allowing a broader audience to access private market investments with increased transparency and reduced barriers to entry.

The decision to bring ACRED onto Solana comes at a pivotal moment for the blockchain’s RWA sector, which is projected to experience exponential growth in 2025. Solana has been gaining traction as a hub for tokenized assets, with upcoming platforms like Remora Markets set to launch in late Q1. Remora Markets will enable the trading of tokenized equities, such as Tesla and NVIDIA shares, directly on the Solana blockchain. These developments underscore Solana’s potential as a dominant force in the RWA space, attracting more institutional capital and increasing the total value locked (TVL) within its ecosystem.

Christine Moy, another Apollo Partner, highlighted that tokenization is a game-changer for private markets, paving the way for greater inclusivity and efficiency. The integration of ACRED onto Solana is expected to showcase the power of blockchain in transforming how assets are managed, traded, and accessed. With Wormhole’s interoperability capabilities, the tokenized fund will be seamlessly accessible across different blockchain networks, fostering a more interconnected and efficient financial landscape.

This initiative reflects the broader trend of institutional adoption in crypto, where major financial players recognize the advantages of blockchain-based finance. By tokenizing private credit markets, Securitize and Apollo are not only revolutionizing asset management but also validating blockchain’s role in the future of institutional finance. As more financial giants explore tokenized RWAs, Solana stands to benefit from increased capital inflows and growing institutional participation, further cementing its position in the evolving financial ecosystem.
