‘Self-Proclaimed’ Satoshi’s Eleven Billion Dollar Trial Postponed Until 2021

Florida court gave the self-proclaimed Creator of Bitcoin, Craig Wright and Ira Kleiman additional time to work on an improved presentation of each side’s position.

The lawsuit against the Australian computer scientist, Craig Wright, claims that he owes half of his supposed 1.1 million BTC cache to his late partner’s Dave Kleiman estate.

Florida’s Southern District Court granted the motion filed by Ira Kleiman and Craig Wright to delay the trial. The new trial date is set on 4th January, 2021.

Judge Beth Bloom in the district court has granted the motion to stretch few pre-trial deadlines in the continuing legal encounter over half of around a million Bitcoins (worth around eleven billion USD at press time) between self-proclaimed Satoshi and the estate of David Kleiman.

As per the court order published recently, the motion has been granted in part. The trial itself, which was beforehand listed for 13th October, has been put off until 2021.

Initially, Wright’s billion-dollar lawsuit was planned to go to trial on 6th July. Nonetheless, it has since been deferred numerous times. Possibly, it would have been all over by now if that hadn’t occurred.
